Naples has become one of the most recognizable pickleball destinations in the country. Between major tournament venues, large public complexes, newer facilities, and strong local competition, there are plenty of places to play.
But the experience can vary quite a bit depending on where you go.
Some facilities are massive and highly organized. Others are free public courts where you can simply show up and play. Some attract large groups every day, while others may be quieter depending on the time.
As a local player, here are four Naples-area pickleball facilities worth knowing about.
East Naples Community Park / USOP National Pickleball Center
If you want to experience the center of the Naples pickleball scene, this is the place to start.
East Naples Community Park is home to the USOP National Pickleball Center and the U.S. Open Pickleball Championships, one of the biggest events in the sport.
The facility includes 59 regular pickleball courts plus 6 championship courts, making it by far one of the largest concentrations of pickleball courts in the area.
There is also a pro shop on site, and you can find players at virtually every level—from recreational players to serious tournament competitors.
The facility is pay-to-play, with pass and membership options available, so visitors should check the current access requirements before arriving.
For someone coming to Naples specifically because they love pickleball, East Naples is almost mandatory.
Pelican Bay Community Park
Pelican Bay has 20 pickleball courts and is one of the more attractive facilities in the Naples area.
The courts are relatively new, the overall setting is excellent, and the facility itself is very well maintained.
Access is more structured than at some public parks. Players need a membership or account and must register or reserve before playing through the Pelican Bay Courts system.
In my experience, Pelican Bay is still building its regular pickleball crowd, so turnout can sometimes be lighter than at some of Naples’ busier locations.
That can be a positive if you prefer a beautiful facility and a more organized environment, but players looking for guaranteed open play should keep that in mind.
Veterans Community Park
Veterans Community Park is my personal favorite place to play in Naples.
The park has 14 public pickleball courts that are free and open to the public.
Eight of the courts are generally used by more advanced players, while six tend to accommodate beginner and intermediate play. Six courts are lighted, which makes Veterans a strong option for evening pickleball.
There are public restrooms on site, and the park normally attracts both a morning crowd and a separate evening crowd.
The evening play on the advanced courts can be particularly strong. On many nights, you’ll find very competitive players and a high level of play.
What I like most about Veterans is the combination of accessibility and community. You can simply show up, get into games, meet local players, and experience the social side of pickleball without needing a membership or reservation.
For players who enjoy strong competition and a true local-court atmosphere, Veterans is difficult to beat.
Big Corkscrew Island Regional Park
Big Corkscrew Island Regional Park has 6 lighted pickleball courts and is another good public option.
The courts are relatively new, in very good condition, and free and open to the public.
Because Big Corkscrew is farther east than many of Naples’ more heavily populated pickleball areas, the courts tend to be less crowded.
That makes it a great option if you already have a group and want newer courts with plenty of space.
The tradeoff is that you shouldn’t necessarily expect to arrive alone and immediately find a large group of players waiting for games.
If your priority is a quieter setting, free access, and good courts, Big Corkscrew is worth the drive.

If you’re visiting Naples, the best choice really depends on what you’re looking for.
